Tools to customize Great Plains

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains has captured the American market with its integrated business applications for small and medium businesses. Its comprehensive accounting and business management capabilities provide businesses with tools to customize various modules of the software Great Plains. These instruments have proved to have contributed to business growth and tighter control over its processes.

There are several ways in which customization and integration can beApplied to the Great Plains applications for its open architecture feature. Data integrity and performance of the processes can be validated using one of several tools listed in this article. So how can we answer the question of the Great Plains customization?

Dexterity

Although Dexterity requires the user an extensive knowledge in software development (primarily in C / C + + or Pascal) and experience in scripting languages (VBScript, or Dexterity's own script - SanScript)This proprietary programming language that was developed in Great Plains provides access to all the great Plains resources such as tables, reports and scripts. With this access, you can manipulate and define triggers such as opening a form or leaving a field. It can also be used to call up functions and procedures and create new applications without interfering with other customizations already in place and integrate them into the great Plains user interface easily.

Dexterity can beinstalled using CD # 2, which comes with the Great Plains 7.5 package.

Modifier with VBA

Modifier with VBA is one of the simplest tools to have for end users and developers. It uses common graphic design techniques that can be used to change the appearance of an application for Great Plains. It can be used to move, edit or delete menus within a window so that you can manipulate the importance of each field. It also allows you to add new windows or controls or simply rearrangingthose that exist. This customization tool is safe to use as the original information is stored separately from the changes. Changes can also be shared with others. However, unlike dexterity, it is not advisable to create new applications with Modifier VBA.

Continuum for VBA / Delphi

This tool uses Great Plains as OLE server. Capture the VB or Delphi code as queried by the user to record macros. However, we do not recommend it because it is an oldtechnology.

Crystal Reports

Great Plains has its own Report Writer. However, its functionality is limited. Introduction to Crystal Reports for Great Plains opens up a whole new world of reporting. With the use of Crystal Report Designer interface, you can create complex reports with formatting and grouping just the way you want - professionally done. Data can be grouped and summarized subtotaled and its ability to drill-down, the user can view reportsthe data in detail.

Crystal Reports has come up with a version for Visual Studio. NET. With all the features of Crystal Reports 8.0, Visual Studio. NET provides. Internet users the ability to share information and reports via the Internet. Through the use of database driver, Crystal Reports connects to the Great Plains database and accesses the specific data as queried by the user and select the tables or views, depending on the user's proposition.

In GreatPlain, the structure of tables can be found in: Tools> Resource Description> Tables

Direct Web Publishing

If you're looking to publish the Great Plains information over the Internet, then using Visual Studio. NET is the right tool to use. It allows the deployment of Web-based applications and XML Web Services and can be exploited with the use of programming languages such as Visual Basic. NET, Visual C # and VisualJ #.

eConnect

Integrating data from external sources, such as point-of-sale, customer relationship management applications and Web services to implement Great Plains eConnect is what is all about. eConnect can filter data or add script to the objects according to the specified schema. It allows you to limit the number of values entered in a field or setting a default value for the field. Although eConnect promises integration, calls for advancedprogramming skills. It uses a number of different programs including Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Basic objects and XML (Extensible Markup).

Integration Manager

Conversion and data transfer (import) a database format (ODBC) to an application for Great Plains can be done with the use of Integration Manager. This tool allows the end user to map the data source to the target field without the need to search the database tables. SQLQueries can also be defined for your accompany the integration and data validation. Integration Manager requires development experience with a background in database maintenance, SQL commands and VBA or VBScript to name a few.

SQL Query

Microsoft SQL Server is a database engine that provides users with tools for creating, configuring and maintaining databases. E 'integrated directly into the Great Plains database. Its Query Engine allows you to create instructions to recall someinformation from the database. Although this is a powerful tool, SQL queries should only be done with expert hands. A false declaration could wipe out your database.

The conduct of the operations of your business depend on you. With the right experience and training, these tools for customization of applications and databases can bring your company to a better land.

Color in Visual Art

Throughout history, human beings are bound to color their experiences, their joys, hopes, joys and sadness. Many artists use color to express themselves more strongly than the image alone can do. May express the hope of a bright yellow on a dark background or passion lovers' by the splendor of the sun. But as a visual artist needs to study color theory and the use of color as a means of expression, for the viewer, not a formal understanding of colornothing to improve the appreciation of a work of art or affect their instinctive reaction to it.

Many articles on color theory attempts to explain the color, as if the color theory through the understanding of the viewer can better appreciate the art. But the reaction of a human being of certain colors is a fundamental biological response. We are, of course, also influenced by the associations of color from our culture and, most importantly, our individual preferences. Therefore, an understanding of color theory is notaffect our personal response to a particular painting. And while the ideas and the inspiration behind a particular framework is a very important element in our evaluation of works of art, specific colors and how they are used together, they are also an important part of our emotional response to what we see .

Sometimes the first emotional response to color is so strong that there can be as immediately, or do not like a job. This is often the case in which the artist used a colorspecifically to express a strong emotion rather than the natural color of an object in the picture. Or used an unnatural color for a familiar object.

And 'well known that color can be used by an artist to create a calming effect, or to draw the viewer's eye to a particular part of the composition. And everyone is familiar with the concept of "warm" colors and "cool". The warm colors like red and orange appear closer to the viewer and cool colors like blue and green seemback.

Color can also be used to create the illusion of movement and excitement in a painting where the artist uses extreme color very close to each other. Our eyes can perceive a visual rhythm with the use of alternate sequences of color.

In visual art, color balanced to create a visual experience. Without balance or harmony, art is too bland and not to engage or excite the viewer or is too strong and challenging the viewer simplyleaves.

Here are some of the emotions and effects of an artist trying to portray with various colors through color symbolism. But it is important to remember that all colors can lead to positive and negative reactions depending on their context. And the experience and culture of the ones shown can affect their perception of the artist's message. The colors are so many variations that can make absolute statements about the meaning is impossible, which is why aunderstanding of the intentions of the artist and inspiration in a painting to add our appreciation and enjoyment of a work of art.

Boutique visual marketing

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Creating a visual approach to marketing for your store should be part of the business plan. Create a visual diagram can be fun and easy. Using this information will help you narrow down decisions that have to do when you design the look of your store. It may help to avoid errors and prevent you from sending mixed signals to your customers. Follow a good marketing plan view, and you can more easily and effectively create a brand image withyour target market.

Price Tip: This is the first thing to consider. Once you know who your target demographic, you should begin to get an idea of what your price should be similar. When did you decide on prices, the next step is to design your shop around the idea of "suggestion of prices." You can get a general idea of the price of a store, when you simply watch. A lot of empty space, lower shelves, no price tags and no fluorescent light suggests high-priced items. Giant Colorfulsale signs, shelves crammed with clothing, and bad lighting suggests bargain discount. Plan the look and feel of your shop around your prices will not only help to attract the target market, but will also discourage those who are not likely to spend money in shops.

Layout: The layout of a shop is another reflection of the price and quality. Straight lines in aisles for shopping carts are large enough for large discount stores. They usually have a "track" tile trolleysurrounding areas of carpet that slow wheels department persistent. You'll see merchandise and impulse items around the track to stop and entice customers to move to get into the carpet.

A boutique, however, has a very different. Boutique owners want customers to enjoy being there. They should be surprised, dazzled and delighted to find unique items as they go deeper into the store. Boutiques often have a very casual layout want to stopand involve the client every few meters. Sections of the boutiques can also be completely hidden from other screens until the customer around the corner. This helps to facilitate the element of surprise when the goods are revealed.

Consumer Response: Boutique owners want to further engage their customers to delighting the senses. This adds to the boutique experience. You will often see interesting lighting, colors, textures and designs. The lights will be pleasing to the eye, not aggressive orbrilliant. Smells of incense, perfumes, soaps and candles, the customer will get even more involved. Calming scents may encourage more browsing. The smell of suntan lotion can put the customer in the mood to buy swimsuits. The possibilities are endless.

Merchandising: The customer must be able to see what kind of items you have by looking, not excavation. Slatwall displays or gridwall can keep the clothes to the outside where it is easily visible. But, you still need to show what theseobjects seem to. Displaying a view in 3D, like a dummy, is the most effective marketing strategy of vision. If anyone can see what the facts like that, then they are more likely to walk up and check it out. Limp clothing on a hanger does not attract much attention.

Use these tips to help you build your business effectively. You can save time, money and help you make loyal, long-term customers.

A Prelude to Computer Science students

Image : http://www.flickr.com

A friend of mine said: "I visited your website, having your items, and took a look at your background." It 'obvious to me, you do not have a background in Information Technology (IT) and Business Intelligence as a field of study recognized Computer Science'.

I was wondering, the person must have a background in computer science or BI to qualify as a professional in the field, or if you take a simple interest?

AutoCad, C, Visual, Basic PowerPoint, Java Script, Excel, Access, Cobol, Word (Microsoft Suite), Data Entry / Processing, DOS, Fortran, Lotus Notes, Management Information Systems, HTML and management cover a wide range by the beginning or preparation in the world the IT / BI. The eclectic value of training in one or more of this study group is the master and / or understanding of all.

About a week ago, I was contacted, recruited, and enrolled in a four-year university program. The recruiter was able towhat he was doing and I went ahead with the plan submitted. I constantly asked, "How will I pay for these university courses?" When the papers are submitted to the finalization process, which all came down to dollars and cents. The financial aid person finally got in touch with me assuming that I was the ideal candidate for the 'Stafford loan!' This is a loan of general education for students enrolling in college since. I explained that I am the administratorno money, have no desire to establish a loan (at all), unemployed, and not to mention ... my age is also a factor. With the ability to complete the necessary studies, I would be done in less than a year. I have three years of university courses accredited with an 'America. I estimate I would pay off a student loan for more than a few years when I got a job. I will soon be sixty years of age. Encumbered by a mortgage education that probably would be well on my plateafter that I am sixty-five, I asked the recruiter and financial aid worker "I really believe that I would do a loan for an extravagant amount of money in the hope that I would have taken ... at my age?" Even if I start a new business, a loan would be a bit 'risky ... unlikely. It would be a good thing if I were able to return to class.

What happened to the H1-B program, the NAFTA, or the "Financial difficulties" Christmas with the "Letter to Obama" and / orex-workers who are forced to use / allocation of UC benefits?

I was promptly removed from the register of students by the college for four years.

In the meantime, I am offering information that can help anyone interested in the research of computer knowledge. If attempting to enroll in computer courses and management, this information will give you a leg up on what is entailed in this multifaceted field of study. Many schools teach these courses asPre-requisite (s) to advanced courses in a college of four years. Even if they are enrolled or intend to enroll in school, but only interested in how it all works, the limited amount of information that is detailed in this post probably will help you in your preparation and / or research.

The courses are outlined:

COBOL (Common Business Oriented Language):

COBOL was released in 1960 as a joint venture between industry, academia and the Government of the United States.COBOL purpose was to provide a high-level computer programming language for the business world. COBOL directly addresses the basic needs of information processing while being easy to use as well. (Take a look at SQL).

COBOL, BASIC, C, Java and Pascal are examples of the level of the high-end computer language (s). A low-level language is a programming language that requires knowledge of the internal components of a computer '... which are not transferable.

Auto CAD (Computer AssistedDesign):

2D (dimensional) design activities, for familiarization with the computer-aided design. Auto Cad is designed to assist you in creating landscape plans, including the creation of layers, adding text and dimensions and make changes. You can create diagrams using symbols and attributes.

You have been taught how to extract the attributes in an Excel Program. Boolean operations and modeling to build and analyze complex 2D shapes and imagesfor isometric drawing, a method for the simulation of 3D designs and drawings Lt. Explain the use of Auto Cad, you can learn to incorporate DWF (Drawing Web Format) files on web pages. A Tour of Auto Cad and progressive projects will teach you how to create design projects, landscape plans and / or wiring diagrams. The topics include Internet access to websites, details, opening and saving, the designs on the web, and embedded DWF file in a web page,

C:

L 'text available on the C language allows students to be taught to be a rational approach to program development and an introduction to ANSI C. Since the first target is primary, a disciplined approach to solve problems and apply widely accepted methods of software engineering to design solutions to program forms a cohesive, readable and reusable. ANSI C (American National Standards Institute) is a standardized, industrial-strength programming language known for its power and portability. CLanguage helps students consolidate their understanding of pointers as arrays, the output parameters and file access. Shortly before their exploration of the role of pointer to dynamic memory allocation.

C language is widely perceived as a language to be addressed only after learning the basics of programming in some other language friendly. Designers as a vehicle for programming the UNIX operating system, C language has found its customers among the original programmersincluding the complexity of the operating system and machine concepts that are not in the basic program of a standard introductory course in programming. The C language is for computer science majors and / or students of a wide range of other IT / BI disciplines.

Visual Basic:

The easiest and fastest way to write 32-bit Windows-based programs is the Microsoft Visual Basic programming system. You can learn to work with ActiveX controls, compileroptions and development tools. You can master the fundamentals of programming, including variables, decision structures, loops, and functions. Creating custom dialog boxes, clocks, menus, animation effects, running text file, encryption, and sorting algorithms are learned through the use of Visual Basic programming. VB also adds the dimension of integration and automation of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and other functions in an application. Other examplesthe integrative power of Visual Basic include the ability to explore the ActiveX controls that process RTF (Rich Text Format), run video, display information progress, and playing audio compact disc (CD). You can also call the function of memory management in Windows API (Application Program Interface), downloads, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) files from the Internet design and DHTML (Dynamic Hyper Text Markup Language) pages, exploitActiveX Data Objects (ADO) with the skills learned from Visual Basic.

Power Point:

PowerPoint is a presentation of computer graphics package. It gives you everything you need to produce a professional presentation, ie word processing, outlining, drawing, graphics and presentation management tools. A formal presentation to a large audience using 35 mm slides to a more intimate in a small conference room with overhead monitors, and / or e-mailpresentation - Power Point has it all! The user is empowered with an outline to help organize his thoughts, a slide show on the screen with special effects such as animated bullets, known speakers, and public hand-out. Users of PowerPoint to create color schemes, examples and models ... there are ways to create the look you want for your presentation.

Java Script:

E 'supposedly easy, according to some authors of Java script. To start a simple script that makes things coolhappen in your webpage ... in addition to matters more complicated, as you need.

Because the Web is a dynamic medium, the designers want their pages to interact with the user. It soon became clear that HTML was not enough to manage demand. JavaScript was invented by Netscape to control the web browser, and add pizzazz and interactivity to web pages.

Excel:

Target - to achieve the basics of Microsoft Excel, to expose students to examples of computeras a useful tool to develop an exercise - oriented approach that allows students to learn by example and encourage independent study. Students are introduced to the terminology of Excel, Excel window, and the fundamental characteristics of a worksheet and workbook. Applications include entering text, numbers, selecting a range using the auto sum button, the copy using the fill handle, changing font size, bold, centered between the columns and rows (columns and fields), format drivecommand, creating charts using the chart wizard and auto-calculate the area out through the grid of rows and columns of the Excel spreadsheet. Any form of accounting, both professional, personal or otherwise, Excel is a program to study for recording, charting and analysis.

Access:

Microsoft Access includes two tools that provide assistance to help refine the design on an Access database. L '(Graphic User Interface) GUI development environment of Microsoft Access, menucommands, toolbars, buttons, tips, examples and screen shots to help make development easier. Sound, the quality of relational database design and development requires considerable knowledge and expertise, regardless of platform. Access, relational database management system, has the ability to manage data files from a single database. A must for every course of study and all Data Base Administration, Business Administration, Administration, Secretarial and Computer Science students.

Word (CMOU- Microsoft Certified Office User):

Create and edit Word documents, templates and wizards to create a cover letter and resume, the creation of a research paper with a table, creating Web pages, creating a document with a title page and table of contents; generation of letters, labels and envelopes, creating a professional newsletter, and use Word Art to add special effects to text to a Word document.

DOS (operating system direct):

Before Windows there was DOS. With a fewclick of the mouse, any Windows PC can restore the original "Disk Operating System". Under DOS, all the program files are named with both COM and EXE, BAT, or an end (called the file extension). L '(Directory) DIR command is used to find files by name, and identify the files in other subdirectories on a disk. The output of the DIR command displays a list of files on a disk. The list has five columns: the name of the file, the file extension (the name), the file size (in bytes orcharacters), the date the file was created or last modified, and the time of last modification (changes).

Notes:

Lotus Notes is a document-centric database management system. Lotus Notes is a cross-platform, secure, distributed document-Oriented Database, Messaging Framework and Rapid Application Development Environment which includes applications to the House. Lotus Notes is an integrated desktop client option for accessing business e-mail and Groupware System. Lotus Notesacts as the client side of a client - Application Server.

Fortran (a language of science):

Formula Translation - is designed to allow easy translation of mathematical formulas in high-end code language. Fortran was designed n 1950. He used the first compiler (a program that translates source code into object code) ever developed. Fortran was designed to be a programming language that would be suitable for a wide range of applications, while being easy to learn

Fortranexpressed as mathematical functions can seriously complex mathematical functions to be expressed similarly to regular algebraic notation.

RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems):

RDBMS is designed for the organization. It requires very careful planning, the creation and maintenance. A database is a collection of information that is tied to a particular object or purpose, such as tracking customer orders or maintaining a music collection. If yourdatabase is stored on a computer, or only parts of it are, you can record information from a variety of sources that must coordinate or organize themselves. Access is able to manage all or information from a single database file, the file, split the data into separate containers called tables and view, add and update forms using, find and retrieve only the desired data via query, and analyze or print data in specific layout using reports. RDBMS Systemsallow users to view, update, or analyze data in the database from multiple locations. When data are updated, it is updated automatically throughout the world appears.

Management information systems (MIS):

MIS combines technology with business users to get the information they need to do their best work smarter and faster. Management systems have provided for the collection, processing, storing and distributing data in the form of information that is needed to perform the functionsmanagement. The system (s) are made up of people, equipment and procedures to collect, organize, analyze, evaluate and distribute needed, timely and accurate information to decision-makers - "The right information to the right people at the right time!"

MIS Management Information Technology is actually probably not considered IT. Armed with this information, the quota, candidates, Computer Science, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, Computer Hardware (APlus), and Accounting Student (s) will be prepared to face the challenges IT / BI industry and their universities have to dish out.

My cynical friend and others have caused me wonder after comments were made. I was wondering, what it takes ... type of study that qualifies as a student of computer science with specialization in computer science / BI? Well, I studied all the programs mentioned above and / or courses with an acceptable level of understanding, development, use and practice ... not to mentionall other technology software / programs, articles, reports, journals, and white-papers involved in the learning process? It is due to my training and experience in / Transport Hospitality / Customer Service industry for several years? Or was it actually ... IT / BI study / research is secondary? "You never know ... Do One?"

What would it take to qualify as having a background in the field of "IT / BI - Informatica" After studying all these courses?

The pointis ... TAKEN NOTE!

Til next time ...

Use the custom automation of the spreadsheet reports to reduce costs and increase profits

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Who needs to read this article?

You will find this article worth reading considerably, if you belong to at least one of the categories of users of the spreadsheet the following: owners of small businesses - restaurants / bars, hotels, hospitals, factories, etc consultants makers / media work Business - Materials Managers, Sales / Marketing analysts, financial analysts / accountants, project engineers, and anyone wishing to give a better sense - and use - ofdata!

Spreadsheet Automation Facilitates FATIGUE data processing, analysis and reporting!

Sometimes people do not really care about learning (or with) all the 'cool' advanced functions, formulas and techniques in the spreadsheet they use for their work They just want to punch to its raw data. - At any moment - and see immediately calculated results generated from the spreadsheet in a manner that can facilitate their important decisionmaking.

Sometimes, they would prefer to click a button that says "ABC Print" or "XYZ Printing" report, instead of having to scan the entire spreadsheet huge (and get "lost" from time to time), to highlight and print several pages of the report. Using a custom data entry form for entry of data in 14 different cells in different parts of a table (at the same time / one-click) would be for them to be "paradise" compared to the entries that make it one at a time .

This article is intendedthose individuals / companies that sometimes the experience of having to use their spreadsheets in (a little '"impersonal"?) described above, to obtain the desired results. This need would often result from their lack of skills needed to get the spreadsheet to behave as they wish - or little time to devote to encompass the automation necessary to make it.

In my article titled "You can increase profits without changing your prices, I'm done with the followingsummary:

Retrieved Start Of --------------------- ---------------------

Nothing Else If you remember, remember the following:

1. A good way to maintain and / or significantly increase profits without increasing your prices is to reduce the variable costs (VC).

2. You can reduce the variable costs of more effective marketing (more and more customers at lower cost, and keeping them at low cost). I once read an article that proposed a newCOCS parameters: cost of the customer or served). This could be adopted as a Key Performance Indicator (KPI).

3. You can reduce variable costs by innovating more (ie developing a more efficient internal operations of your routine and / or product / service delivery). In this way, you would be able to produce / offer more products and / or services with less effort, in less time and using fewer resources. All these would mean lower expenses / costs, resulting in greater profitretention per unit of product / service sold.

. 4 There is saying: "You can not manage something unless you measure. Nor can measure you, if there is not." Tracking sheet will help you to conveniently create and sustain the process of monitoring, control and / or reduce the venture capitalists. You will need to do this in order to continuously evaluate the progress of your VC monitoring / control and reduction initiatives.

--------------------- End OfRetrieved ---------------------

A different type of automation

The spreadsheet approach to automation that I mean, is one that seeks to provide alternative functional piece of automation throughout the transaction sheet user (s). Typically, this type of solution requires the developer to study the existing manual recording of data, analysis and reporting systems, and plan - in consultation with users - for the incorporation of automation into the spreadsheet to replace them, where possible.

Spreadsheet Solutions custom that survive long after the developer has "left the scene" are often those that you agree because they discover that - among other things - makes their job quicker and easier to do. This is why the best person to develop solutions that tend to be one who works in that area, and is therefore familiar with the way the system works manual. He / she would have an "insider" point of view of how best to introduce automation usersreadily adopt - even as it solves the problem in question (s).

In fact what I am saying is that companies that get the most value from automating spreadsheet (including the use to avoid the expense of less adapted commercial off the shelf applications) will be those who allow users to generate routinely " in-house solutions. In such societies, we find that only when the condition becomes very specialized or complex, the IT department is called to obtaindevelopment or acquisition of software solutions for the services or functions with a significant user data recording and analysis of needs.

Then, (if you consider the automation speak) I do not think spreadsheets containing one or two click-able buttons that allow a user to print a page or copy some cells from one sheet to another. Instead, I want you to picture a question (or Enterprise Information System) to customize the look of your spreadsheet work (to takemaximum advantage of the capital stock of the screen on your PC), and offers custom "floating" data entry forms.

In addition, display with dynamic query / report drop-down menu interfaces, and a set of custom buttons: for navigation (within and between worksheets), printing, data export (such as PDF documents or spreadsheet files), the saving, auto-data filtering, auto-plotting, auto-backup files, the user login authentication (for documents with sensitive or confidential content)etc.

To experience the kind of automation I mean, you can send an e-mail free demos of the Excel spreadsheet automated sample-driven applications such as VB (1) a training Tracking Database (TM), (2) a five (5) years of income and spending Monitor (TM) or (3) a list of Export Packing & Invoice Generator (TM) for themselves by using the mailer files on my site.

As a note of Use Corporate Multinational Monitoring Spreadsheet / Automation repeatedly to cut spending - andIncrease profits

During my graduate training (while in employment), I was transferred from the corporate headquarters of Guinness Nigeria Plc training (Lagos) to the training department of beer Benin (Edo state), where I was assigned - Additional - job of using a custom macro variable Wizard Lotus spreadsheet cost analysis application to generate reports brewery for shipment to headquarters.

The assignment was not an accident. Before being reassigned toBenin brewery, I had been involved in "validating" the many complex formulas in the spreadsheet application Lotus 1-2-3 custom during its development. The author - Richard Chambers - was at the time in office (as Training Coordinator) training of new entrants, and after discovering my interest in learning, often gave me her laptop to "proof" formulas, etc. links E 'was he who had told his counterpart in Benin brewery (Joe Sheehan) that could help me with a problem he was having withthe application. And I fixed the problem - resulting in my later became responsible for relations of comparison using the application.

Variable cost control / reduction is a strategy that has worked very well for the company. More memorable for me as a brewer, was the way in which they were made huge monetary savings / gains in profit with successful implementation of initiatives to reduce variable costs. For example, a switch ingredient of beer was made for an easierlocal alternative available that was many times cheaper, saving and phenomenal gains on the increase of profits, even if the price of beer has not been raised. This practice has been regularly applied through the processes of fermentation and packaging in line with a well thought out plan.

To further explore: a one-page sheet variable cost analysis report generated automatically by the spreadsheet first custom I have described, was a powerfultool used by top management to quickly assess the performance of individual breweries. Among other benefits, the report made it very easy to compare realistically sister breweries in different locations (even between countries) based on common denominators. In addition to summarizing beer / packaging materials into two groups -
"Over-used/Over-spent (losses) and" Under-used/Under-spent "(saving) - on a monthly basis based on the data entered, the program automatically tracks chartsshowing changes over a period of 12 months.

The visiting chief of the technical functions needed only to look at the latest point drawn on the chart (as opposed to earlier) as a Key Performance Indicator
Cost per hectolitre produced (a hectoliter = 100 liters) to see if the brewery had remained within the upper limit of the approved budget (target paths straight line through the same period) or not. The discussions would then be based on identified"Exceptions" (which could be "good" such as savings, or that "bad" such as monetary loss due to over-used materials), and "actions" to improve or maintain performance observed agreed.

Tracking Spreadsheet as crucial for business development

There are ways you can use spreadsheets to record and track your use of materials / inventory, product sales, and other business data such discrepancies can be easily identified when they occur. The use ofspreadsheets, when done properly, can help to discover the cause (s) of "losses" in almost every aspect of business operation.

1. The Pareto principle - using tracking spreadsheet, you can easily apply the Pareto principle in deciding which of your sources of income and expenditure channels (eg, products and services) to focus on in order to maximize profits. Considering that you are most likely to use the same marketing / sales resources to serve customers, it follows that onlyIf you focus on your biggest margin sales of products / services, you will get an increase in profits to cost more or less the same.

One possible application: Draw a pie chart based on contributions from your income from all products and services (daily, weekly or monthly), and check the percentages calculated automatically / visual slices of cake, can give very enlightening insight.

The Pareto 80:20 principle is based on the theory of Pareto that 80% of the results obtained in aspecial effort will be mainly due to 20% of the areas to which you applied efforts. In business, this principle has been found to be true. Your data should be converted into appropriate performance indicators, will show you where your biggest margins came from. You can then channel more time and effort in this direction.

For example, if a company has five drink brands on the market, but he realizes that a brand, which has a profit margin of at least twice the other is in greater demand, that could (a) focus efforts on the production of that mark, so that more bottles are to trade (b) apply best practice / continuous improvement initiatives that would result in lower production costs of each bottle of brand A in so that even if the market price is fixed, the company is able to earn more profit margins per bottle.

2. Capital Sourcing - for expansion or startup. You can make it easier for banks and potential investors to support you financiallyand / or make the decision to buy into your business. Those already running their own business will know that banks like to see the detailed business records that show, in real terms of all aspects of performance of a business'. Without tracking spreadsheet detailed and comprehensive, it might be difficult to prove. Agreed there are software applications that capture most of these. However, sometimes you want to highlight certain trends and scenarios in a way that an application for off-the-shelf "can notaccommodate the uniqueness of your need. E 'in this context that the use of such spreadsheets becomes important.

The intelligent use of spreadsheets, combined with the application of the 80:20 rule will help to achieve the above and more. One does not need experts to start doing these things today. Just take the decision to start keeping a daily, accurate records and commit themselves to their analysis. You will be surprised to discover that soon will become much more aware of howyou are doing and what aspects of your business you should focus on more to get better returns for your efforts - and you will be able to provide verifiable assurance / Financial authentic data to support any claims you make about your business performance to bankers or potential investors.

Deciding what to use spreadsheet

This would ultimately be up to you. The big "fight" has always been between Lotus 1-2-3 and Microsoft Excel. I started with Lotus 1-2-3in 1993 and learned Lotus macro programming (through self-tutoring). In the end I used this skill to develop - in my spare time - several solutions personalized spreadsheet (which were formally adopted for use in the departments I worked as a brewer / manager of Guinness), before moving to Microsoft Excel in 2001. Later, I developed my Excel Visual Basic programming skills spreadsheet (including through self-tutoring), because the company has chosen to adopt MS Office during the rollthan in 2000.

I think using one of these two applications should not pose problems to realize your ideas spreadsheet automation. This is because both have always been "friends" to make it easy for users to get more functionality from them through custom programming.

You can choose to learn to do it yourself - or call someone (an Excel VB Developer Solutions, for example) who knows how. Again, this would depend on your purpose, asexperienced you are, and / or how much time you have at your disposal. Ultimately, even if someone develops a custom program for you, YOU should be the driving at any point to ensure that does exactly what you want to do, and that you can easily - with the support of your developer / coaching - learn to make changes to it in the future without the need to call your developer.

This last point, in my opinion is one of the most important advantages that should seek to extract, if you chooseto use the services of a developer. He / she should be able to help you develop (at home) the skills needed to maintain s after the application / gone. If you are unable to guarantee this, all your savings to use the application might end up being spent to pay developers to maintain the application over time in the future!

From this point on, I will refer only to one of the above applications, it is my preferred working environment. This is Microsoft Excel. Ibelieve users of spreadsheet applications that can adapt what I say from here for use in their particular environment.

The automation of your spreadsheet: What is Excel VB?

Microsoft Excel is a powerful tool for recording, organizing / re-organize, analyze and present information. In Excel VB, I am referring to Excel VBA - which means VBA Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). VBA programming refers to the very broad and flexible macrolanguage developed by Microsoft for use in their MS Office applications - Word, Power Point, etc.

VBA is therefore different from the standalone Visual Basic program used (for professional programmers) to develop commercial quality software applications - even if it borrows many of the characteristics of the latter. Think of software as a standalone Excel VBA to Visual Basic, Excel built in that benefit users of Excel who are not necessarily programmers, butwho are eager to exert more control over applications.

Thus, Excel VB has all the interested users the tools needed to make the application to provide more functionality. The final product is still an Excel document, but with extra features added via VBA.

Why Excel Visual Basic - and not Visual Basic?

1. I always answer this question by asking the following question: What would be the point of "Killing a fly with aHammer?

Let me elaborate. If a method is available that allows us to achieve the same desired result (s) at lower cost, with less effort and in less time, because we fail to adopt it?

Some IT people insist that the development of applications that run standalone using the Visual Basic programming language is "better" because it limits the user to a particular software application environment for users. I admit that this could be a valid point in someconditions. However, I note that there are many people who have special needs that do not necessarily require complex solutions.

A lot of people today just want to get their registration data, (re) organization and analysis for decision-making done faster and with less effort. They also want to spend as little money as possible to do this. In other words, they want an inexpensive solution that gives them independence from the supplier of long-term solutions - without the need forto undertake laborious skills immediately.

This category of users to exploit the technology referred to are those that I need to believe Excel VB solutions of the type I described. One expects that some of these people over time develop an interest in acquiring the advanced skills needed to develop their own solutions in the future - that's why even encouraged to do so, possibly through self-tutoring, as I did.

2. Another question that I pose to solve the "WhyVB? Excel "question is:" Why reinvent the wheel "?

My experiences (and those of others who favor the use of Excel VB as I do), confirm that to organize and analyze data (financial / management), the reporting and decision making, you will save hundreds of hours already built, pre-programmed Excel functions compared to a situation where you have used Visual Basic correctly.

All the functions needed to achieve the aims above already exist inExcel, so you do not have to write everything from scratch, as would be the case if you were to use Visual Basic.

3. It works even when you lack in-house "expertise"

For the purpose of creating custom solutions for financial management and business that address the issues identified, and give you control / ownership, without burning a hole in your pocket, Excel VB offers a surprising variety of possibilities in the hands of a suitably qualifieduser.

In addition, a developer of Excel VB (which in many cases tend to be a user turned developer, and is therefore likely to easily see things from your point of view) - as opposed to a programmer - is more likely to be well prepared to work with you to ensure the application meets your practical needs. He / she will easily understand that the final question is intended to help solve a real problem (s), and then build to meet those expectations.

It is not enoughto have a professional with the technical expertise to solve the problem. s / he also needs to have the right attitude and background / experience - otherwise the relationship does not work. This is where a resource Excel VB is more likely to add value to you. Most of Excel VB developers have been trained in management, accounting, engineering and other sectors, that equips them to be more useful to "think about" a better way to apply the automated spreadsheet to get the most value yourbusiness. It is therefore necessary to choose the right developer with the appropriate background to meet your needs.
I think the above are convincing reasons for choosing Excel Visual Basic Visual Basic.

Get the most return on investment spreadsheet automation, developing House "expertise"

Organizations can deliberately expose their employees to learning events (or self-help exercises) on the Spreadsheet Solutionsdevelopment. Such employees may be called upon to develop in-house solutions that effectively address the data analysis specific to the business' / reporting requirements as they arise.

A person with proven expertise in this area can become "famous" for spreadsheet applications in developing countries, struggling to remove from the process of using MS Excel to manage large amounts of data. Typically, the work that takes hours or days suddenly take minutes or seconds to the end.

Loansto above are not exaggerated. They are in fact based on my personal experience doing the above (a). As a manager in the difficult path of production and work in an environment of rapid multi (b). As a developer of solutions for individuals and businesses who use MS Excel for their work.

Are keen to encourage individuals and organizations to explore using advanced MS Excel formulas and functions, in conjunction with the Excel VBA programming, to developpersonalized spreadsheet applications that solve typical problems end users encounter daily in an attempt to record / analyze data and generate reports.

The savings - the use of the know-how "in house" - in terms of money and man-hours alone, will soon justify the investment is made in "developing the necessary skills" - especially when confronted with what you spend the cost of buying commercial software - or even engaging the services of a VB Exceldeveloper.

Summary

The fundamental imperative for many people who manage corporate data is often "as used" to monitor and - where possible - benefits of control that is to say that the study / anticipate trends in a way that helps the decision-making process to ensure the reproduction of the desired results while minimizing - or eliminating - the unwanted.

You can change the way we manage / analyze data (or generate reports) in your business today - and get more usable benefits to the extentthat increase your profits. An important step to be taken to achieve this aim will be to use intelligent automation to improve the spreadsheet data processing / analysis systems and reporting in business operations - while empowering yourself and / or personnel to acquire skills needed to maintain the Spreadsheet Solutions Developed for the future.

How to teach students in the Visual territory

Sharpen your pencil! Visual learners learn best through the territory of the images and illustrations. Visual area students think in pictures. Once you have a vision of the concept, they understand! No need for repetition and drill.

Do not learn sequentially in a "traditional" teaching methods and curriculum will only lead to frustration and poor school performance.

Visual Spatial Learners:

Thinking in Pictures
Recognize faces, objects, shapes, colors, details and scenes
Having a good sense of direction
Need to understand the big picture before going into details
Do not learn sequentially (step-by-step)
Learning by seeing and observing
Use visual images to retrieve information
Enjoy doodling, drawing, painting and sculpture
Often reverse letters when writing
Do not learn through repetition and practice
Discover models easily
Doodle while listening

How to choose Visual Spatial HomeschoolCurriculum.

Choose the curriculum that can be read aloud, has manipulatives, or is experimental in nature. Look for resources that focus on the general framework of a subject, patterns and relationships rather than facts and sequential stages. Do textbooks and worksheets (in most cases).

HISTORY
Read (and read alouds) allow the display of stories. Using video, computer programs, lapbooks, notebooking and practical projects.

Language Arts
Visual Spacelearners benefit from visual aids, when learning new information and to get their thoughts on paper. Look for resources that use flow charts, concept maps, graphic organizers, and art.

These students are bright, with content still struggle with the mechanics of writing. Remember, a best-selling authors are editors! Avoid curriculum that emphasizes spelling, grammar, and capitalization.

LITERATURE
Read (and read alouds) Opportunity for students to see the landstories in their minds.

MATH
Visual / pictorial aids and manipulatives are a necessity in mathematics. Using illustrations and stories to teach facts and processes. color code steps for solving math problems. students excel with the concepts of territory, but struggle with details and calculations.

Phonics
Visual area students often struggle to learn to read. Use a phonetic approach to reading and whole word. Because I think in pictures, connect with letter soundsphotos. Give them a lot of time with this.

SCIENCE
Use flow charts and graphic organizers to display information. Use the reading (and read alouds), videos, computer programs, lapbooks, notebooking, and a lot of practical experiments.

Visual learning activities in the territory

Visual spatial learners think in images to use graphical and pictorial methods of working with ideas and presenting information. When planning lessons ask ...

Asthe argument can be illustrated?
How can 'show' my son what he learned?

Lessons to teach using ...

Visuals - "a picture is worth a thousand words"
Flow charts for teaching jobs
colored pens to distinguish the parties (the parties display a word in a sentence, spelling patterns, divider / dividends, etc.)
Video
Field trips
Highlighting, underlining, and drawing pictures while teaching
Discovery - capitalizing on the strengths of the study model for your child
Reading aloud
Visualshung around the room (ie Greek and Latin word parts)
graphics unit to introduce the big picture

Have Your Visual Spatial Learner ...

Draw while listening to lectures
Use webbing to brainstorm, organize information for writing (pre-writing), or analyze stories and characters
Use concept maps to show the knowledge of a subject and its relations
Map locations of an environment story, historical events, geographical features
Working with math manipulatives
U.S.graphic organizers for almost everything. Introduce or summarize a unit, analyzing the literature, explain the cycles and sequences, pre-writing and brainstorming
are just some examples.
Create storyboard for creative writing and literary analysis
Dramatize or demonstrate the concept
Draw pictures of events on a timeline
Research using websites and video
Create cards for learning spelling words, math facts, etc.
Create charts and graphs to show the results of research appointmentsor to answer questions workbook
Building models
Create collages, posters, murals and a concept or a summary of the unit
Use software such as Eyewitness Encyclopedia

The Basics of telemetry

It is likely that the process of telemetry enhances your world and you do not even know. This is because this mode of data transfer is used in a number of different applications. Here is some information about the basics of telemetry, as well as a few examples of how it is used.

In essence, the remote telemetry is all about. The basic process of the strategy is to make use of remote devices to gather data, particularly measures of any kind, and then relaythese results to another device or location. The science behind telemetry makes it possible for the receiver to work with data without actually being present in the collection site in order to benefit or to analyze the collected information.

An excellent example of modern use of this approach to data collection is the use of satellites. Using scanning equipment, satellites can collect all kinds of information on phenomena occurring on the planet, as the timeconditions and movements. At the same time, a satellite able to collect measurements for the movement of different types of celestial bodies like the moon, asteroids, comets and other bodies found in space. This data is then transmitted to the receivers on the surface of the earth, allowing scientists, meteorologists, and other researchers to use the data collected.

Of course, there is no need to look at the sky to find an application of telemetry. If you own a car, then thisscientific collection of data is taking place very close to home. The data transmitted is what lets you know when the oil is low, and to see how many miles were put on the engine of the vehicle. Components under the hood to give these data to the measuring instruments which in turn, convert the data in terms of vehicle that the driver can understand. So the next time you notice an oil or gas light flashing, is possible thanks to the process of telemetry to help you avoid what could be either ainconvenient and costly problem.

Visual communication: What does this mean?

"The biggest thing that the human soul than ever in this world is to see something ... To see clearly is poetry, prophecy and religion all rolled into one." ~ John Ruskin, the painter

Visual communication involves our eyes, heart and mind. By the time we reach adulthood, there are millions of visual images stored in the dark recesses of our minds. Our memories serve us and keep us. Our minds remember and recall visual messages during our waking and sleeping hours, whichin turn, visual images shape our thinking, attitudes and personality. Because visual messages are penetrating our hearts and souls, take a moment to learn what visual literacy and visual communication really say.

According to Google's online dictionary, visual literacy * * includes:

"Literacy is the set of visual skills involved in the interpretation and criticism of images. This is a field of study in universities on the basis of art history andcriticism, information design and graphic design, usability and interface of the computer. It 's also a goal of parallel linguistic literacy training. The basic skills of literacy are the visual vocabulary of concepts necessary to understand and discuss the pictures. "

Then again, according to Google's online dictionary, * * visual communication means:

"Visual communication is the communication of ideas through the display ofinformation. Primarily associated with two dimensional images, it includes: alphanumerics, art, signs, and electronic resources. Recent research in the field has focused on web design and graphically oriented usability. "

Since the invention of television and the internet, visual communication has bombarded the world. The average person is showing a preference for learning and being entertained by the visual media than printed material. No doubt, welive in a visual world! (Revised 2/15/2006)

Error 2738 - how to solve the problem

Error 2738 usually occurs because Visual Basic Script is or is not installed or not properly registered on the computer. This problem is rather easy to solve, and we cover the steps below. If you have not installed Visual Basic Script, make sure you do it now. You can download it directly from Microsoft, but if you use Windows Vista and, above all, then it should already be installed.

If Visual Basic Scripthas already been installed and you still get an error 2738 message, then you will need to register again. You can do the first login as a user with administrative rights. Click the "Start" button, and then if you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, click "Run" and type "cmd". If you are using Windows Vista, you should be able to enter "cmd" directly into the Start Search field.

When the Command Prompt window, type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" and then press Enter, butwithout the quotes. Only an administrator can make this true again, it is essential that you log on as user with administrative rights. This Visual Basic Script to register in the system.

After the above steps have been performed, error 2738 should no longer occur, but it's a good idea at this point to optimize the registry, and scan for any problems. You can do this by using Registry Cleaner software. A registry cleaner will scan the entireWindows registry and look for problems. When it finds the problem areas, will solve the problems. The registry is also optimized, resulting in a computing environment easier and more robust.

Error message when compiling a Microsoft Access database

Image : http://www.flickr.com

There can be many causes for the occurrence of an error message in MS Access database. These error messages may occur during compilation, assembly stage, or while performing some changes to the database. While the error messages can occur in different phases, the result for most of the error messages is the inaccessibility of the records stored in the database. To overcome the dangers created by error messages, a perfect way to recover data from a current backup. However, ifdatabase backup is deleted, damaged or inaccessible, you must opt for a powerful software repair mdb that provides full access to database records.

Consider a practical case, where you receive one of the following error messages when you try to compile the Access database or groped to view the code for a module:

"Error accessing file. Network connection may be lost." Or "This action will reset the current code in break mode.
Wantstop code execution? To stop program execution, so the module window can be closed, select Yes to leave the code in the current state, select No. "

Case

Both the error messages occur when both MS Access 2000 and version 6.3.91.8 of Vbe6.dll are installed on your system, and one of the two sub-condition is true: it is important to report (s) or form (s) These include standalone modules into a new database using Microsoft Access 2000 MS Access 2000. It was copiedand glued to the report (s) and form (s), which include standalone modules into a new database using Microsoft Access 2000 MS Access 2000.

Resolution

To resolve this error message and access the database records, you must follow the following steps:

You need to create a new database and import all the components in it. Now, open the Visual Basic Editor and click Build. Close and save the database.

In case the above steps fail to resolve yourproblem, then you need advance use third-party Access database repair tool. These tools repair mdb use of high-end scanning methods to restore the damaged database and provide easy access to all components of the database.

Visual illusions of the mind

Visual illusions are a class of magic that seldom require sleight of hand.

Much of what the Mentalist does in his act can be traced back directly to tests of supernatural mediums, spiritualists and psychics in the 19th century. But Mentalism started much earlier.

Many think that sleight of hand works because it is faster than the eye. But most of the time this is not true. Also uses sleight of psychology, mis-direction, andchoreography to make visual illusions.

While running any kind of magic the public must be left thinking, "was that real." If that happens, then you know you've done a great job.

Magic card, most likely dates from the time playing cards became known, in the second half of the fourteenth century, but its history is not known at this time. As the magic card, magic coin can be done on the spur of the moment and without any special support. With only a normaldeck of playing cards, some visual illusions can be performed. After a lot of practice, you can amaze all those who are running for.

This is one of the blocks to become an artist who, over time, you are part of an art extraordinary. Like everything else in life you learn, the better you become, the more you will be respected in the wonderful world of magic.

We all know how much kids love to show off. For all parents, seeing the light on their face when they tell you ajoke and laugh. That glow becomes more clear when running visual illusions. Sometimes I think children learn faster than adults when it comes to some simple forms of magic. To have every child make a card trick or make a coin disappear suddenly may make your day.

When my grandson started to learn how to perform some simple tricks, it would light up when he showed me his latest trick. I could see how much he liked it. Almost as much as me.

Coin magic is good againstaudiences of all ages. Illusions with the coins are very popular items. People love to see a performer to entertain them use coins. An artist can use the money they get from normal whoever they play in front of, or substitute with a special coin tricks. the magic of money is always popular because it often involves a coin from someone in the audience, and run up close Illusions. The performer put his personality into the trick to make the illusion more powerful.

When theperformer uses borrowed money, the power of Visual Illusion enhances the effect, gives more credibility to the performer. Some tricks can be performed with any currency, in a bar, or a social event, or in the spur of the moment. No need to carry any special coins magic.

Many of these performances, when done correctly give the performer a sense of accomplishment, and leaves people performed in front of wanting more. Most musicians prefer to MagicTricks with coins in their hands.

7 Steps cheap and easy to place furniture in your house like a professional designer

Image : http://www.flickr.com

To get a dramatic difference in design in your room can be cheap, because it must be the result of buying new "stuff", but to escape from a room arrangement tired. things cool off with a whole new look just rearranging what you already have in your home!

This is known as the redesign and with the economy now is extremely economical choice for your home, giving the lift you want without having to spend a lot of money.

Let's GetStarted!

economic Step number 1: It is hard work, but essential step to ensure great results. Remove everything from the ROOM you choose to redesign. EVERYTHING!

This gives you a fresh perspective on a room that has come to take for granted. With the room empty - try to "see" the cool room. Clean the dust, wash the windows, maybe even choose to paint an accent wall or redo the entire room with a contemporary paint color.

Anyyou choose - to take this opportunity to give a fresh spark. Now you are ready to begin ...

Step number two flights: three questions to ask these designers ...

What are the traffic patterns of the room? What is the natural flow of traffic? There

a sliding glass door at the back that the members of your family use most frequently? Lead room to another room to say a kitchen or bathroom?

What are the best features of the room? And the wallcolor, windows, woodwork, floors or wood?

Where is the room, "Focal Point"? This could be mistaken for the "best features" question, however, the difference is defined to identify what feature in the room your eye is naturally drawn. In other words, when you enter the room at random feature that thing pulls like a magnet. It could be a fireplace, a window, built in a corner, etc.

Cheap Step number 3: Here's where the fun begins!

Get a cheap vacuumsharp pencil and a piece of paper and draw a simple outline of your room, using the baseline. This should not, to be precise you just want to capture the shape or the shape of the room. Be sure to pull large enough to be able to sketch in the shape that represents the furniture you want to include in the new agreement. If you would prefer to make software more realistic to consider how the visit Frugal Home Design to find the perfect program.

Economic Pitch4: Before you start drawing you need to consider some basic secrets designer, visual weight and balance. To get an idea of equilibrium think your plan is divided equally into 4 parts. You can do this in with a light pencil line-drawing along the vertical and horizontal center line across the middle.

The goal is to balance the furniture in the room also ... if you have a heavy piece like a sofa in a sectionbe sure to add another element of equal weight directly in front, like two armchairs or a sofa and end table. If you have a hutch top on one side - try accessorizing with a large vertical mirror or picture hanging in front of the cage. Here are a few visual cues balance weight designer to make you think.

Chairs and sofas that are white have visual weight less than dark sofas and chairs.

Light colors work best in small spaces because ofperception of less visual weight darker pieces.

Glass tables and other pieces equipped with small patterns work best in small rooms where space is important for the balance of the room as dark colors are excellent for your larger rooms.

Size of the furniture of the room.

Cheap Step number 5: Consider Scale. This simply means the size of a mobile as it is put in relationship with another piece in the same room. For the most sense, commonbut, for example, if you have a big couch and you place a small coffee table in front of it - would have been um - Goofy. Or, if the table is the wrong height would also look awkward and out of scale.

Step number cheap 6: Evaluate your traffic patterns: Consider how you would like people to access or walk around the room. Here are some basic measures of standard design, you can choose to apply - in which to place the furniture:

36 "arounddoors.

12 "space in front of windows

18 "to travel easily between cabinets.

Step number seven flights now start playing with your camera on paper. To avoid back pain to try some of agreement here. Try to draw in some different furniture from another room, or spend some 'time window shopping in a furniture shop for design ideas and trends before the great hall of recovery. Use the card as the muscle in motion until you come up with a design thatpops!

You may decide you do not need a piece of furniture. Less is more when it comes to room design. Clutter always flatten your efforts. What does this mean? Edit your home movies - a basic workflow

With the advent of consumer camcorders in low cost and low cost (or even free) software for video editing, it is now very easy for anyone to put together the kind of movie that was impossible just a couple of years ago.

The top of the range of editing programs are now the same that professionals use to produce films like 'O brother, where if' and the like.

But if it all seems too much for you and you want to put together some simple archiveyour holiday, what should you do?

There are three steps for creating a video (assuming you have actually gone out and shot the movie with the camera)

1) Get your movie on a PC

2) the sequence of footage together to form a film

3) output the movie in a format that can be displayed

What follows is not based on any particular piece of software, but hopefully that will identify steps that can be taken on the software

1) Obtain the images on your PC.

This is otherwise known as 'catch' the movie. In past years this meant to connect the camera to the PC via a firewire card and the movie plays on the computer's hard drive. However, there are now cameras that capture video on solid-state cards that can be read directly from a PC, as well as cameras that record directly onto DVD. Whichever method is used to capture the footage will need to finish as a set of files on your PC for editing. Somesystems allow you to name your file to make it easier to identify them later, others assign a serial number for each clip. If possible, make sure to collect similar clips together, for example in a folder, so that they can be easily identified "Family at Sea World," "Jimmy playing on the beach", etc.

2) Sequence movies together to form a film.

This is the heart and soul of video editing. By taking the raw footage and massage in a format that peoplewant to see. This is done through the creation of a project.

Here are some tips to help you make better videos

a) watch all the movies before you start editing. This will give you an idea of what you have and what you have. It 's easy when shooting footage to forget that sometimes you need just a few clicks to help your revision. For example, when you went to Sea World and Shamu shot movies did you remember to get a shot of main entrance with the "Sea World" logo? I betdo not have. Make a note of stuff you missed.

b) Identify shots that does not appear in your video. These are the ones where the camera whips around quickly, where the emphasis is wrong, where there is nothing, but zooming and panning. These will make your audience sick. Also identify those areas where there is a lot of repetition between the waves and Jimmy race is interesting again once or twice, but not 8 or 10 times. identify the best shot of the sequence and use that

c) Look'Reaction shots' - ie shots that show people who look at things or discuss things and be honest. These are useful to fill gaps in the action later

d) Cut out late and soon. By this I mean only the use of a shot that shows only the tip of your interest and once the interesting part is finished, cut off. So if you have videos of Jimmy on the beach, throwing a frisbee, throwing the frisbee show. Do not see screaming to move to the left and'To go in depth'. Do not let him do a few practice shots or stop watching the game of the dog in a tidal pool. Just show the shot. Once the Frisbee is thrown out and is suddenly cut off.

Once you have identified the movie - along with a list of shots but did not need - get to your editing tool and bring all your movies a. Working with a start in a logical sequence to delete the shots in the timeline. Do not worry about titles, transitions and effects, just arrivedhistory of work. Remember, ideally you should have something that tells a complete story from beginning to end. For the long shots that are boring (or do not want to hold things in the movie), use your editor trim 'function to cut off the bit at the beginning or end of the shoot. In some publishers may need to drag the same clip in the timeline several times to allow you to take pieces of it.

Now watch the movie. He wants to tell a story? He flow? If each cut out and turned in latesoon? There is repetition. Remember that although you might find interesting to watch jimmy throw a frisbee 15 times on a beach, everyone else will probably get bored after a while.

Now you can return to the movie and do a few things.

a) Add titles Many publishers have the right tools as part of their characteristics. Use what you have. If your editing system does not have an owner, do own securities. Use a word processor, print out the pages, movies and add themin

b) Add transitions. Sometimes a good transition can be very useful. In general I find that there are only two types of transitions that have a meaning and a dissolve, a fade. A dissolve is whether a photo become another in a period of time and a fade is when an image disappears (usually black) and the other is therefore out of the black. If you use too many transitions will distract your audience (unless your video production of a groovy pop!).

c) Add to the reaction shots. If you havethose shots that show Aunt Nelly laughing at something, or the whole family to watch the fireworks, add those shots in a couple of other shots. This breaks the flow and allows you to make a change that would otherwise appear wrong - say, for example, has a shot of Shamu in the foreground and you want to switch to a shot of the whole tank Shamu's, if you add a shot of reaction people who watch the show between the two shots that will make change work! This is also the linkadd to those shots that did not at that time. If you need a shot of the logo of Sea World, look on the Internet. Check out Flickr and search for Creative Commons can be used to insert the movie.

d) The sound is an important part of a good video. I've had movies where I have basically just added the music to cover everything under the video camera some terrible audio. This works. Try it and see

3) out the video in a format that you can use:

Whenare completely satisfied with what you have (had added in the transitions, titles and audio) are then ready to create a movie project. Remember to save the project in an instrument will actually create a movie, only a record of what is in the project. Creation of the film (or rendering) involves identifying how you want to transfer the project in a format you can watch.

A number of tools to deal with this in different ways, but all will allow you to create a finished productfilm in a specific format. This could be a QuickTime movie, AVI or MPEG or even a. Regardless of the final product, most instruments will ask you to specify things like bitrate or file size. Do not worry about that. Because video files are typically huge, playing wherever they need to be compressed into something that can be processed by computer. All files created by film editing software will be compressed to reduce its size. Just remember a couple of goldrules

1) A high bit rate will result in a larger file, but will need a faster computer to play without vibration

2) creates a smaller file compression artifacts (ie those square blocks that you see when playing video)

So usually the creation of a film is a compromise between the size of large files that require powerful computers and smaller files that have compression artifacts. The right decision to do this depends on where you want the final movie to prove. If youintended to Youtube then a smaller file size is acceptable. If this is going to DVD then you need bigger than a file as possible to keep the compression down to a minimum because the creation of the DVD can compress the file again and then reduce the quality further.

The process of compressing video file is a sort of black magic, with people trying to get the highest quality from the minimum size of the file. All you need to know is that with most of the tools available today, especially for freeinstruments, there will always be a compromise between file size and quality.

If you want a DVD of the movie is created by the need to take the movie editing software (which should be as high as possible) and pass it through an authoring tool DVD (DVD-Something like Flickr) and this will be designing and create your DVD for you. Obviously you'll need a DVD player capable of writing discs as well as reading them.

Summary

This article is full of hopehelped to understand the steps necessary to move to make home videos interesting and useful. The thing to remember is that it is not complicated if you keep the basics in mind.

Basic Tips for Beginners Artists

First understand that there are going to be a professional artist without practice and time. I know you want to learn to draw and be a good artist but instantly for 99% of the people is not only going to happen. Here are some hints and tips to help you pump out some decent drawings immediately.

Many artists began by drawing very thin and hard to see lines. Be confident with your shots and use strong lines and bold colors and darker. Do not be afraid to make mistakesthis is natural for beginners. This will help you realize what your mistakes were so I can correct it the next time you draw. If you choose to erase your mistakes all the time and there will be no way to tell which areas you need to work on to improve.

Since you are a beginner do not expect the results to be like Picasso, Michelangelo, or da Vinci. Each time you draw it will be like a training session in which over time will begin your designs look better and better.

Mix-upthings we're going to draw. For example, some people only paint portraits while others will work on scenes and settings. Take a little of an experiment in many different areas to see where you really are the strengths. Try to copy the photos and forms for notification and shades and do your best to get on paper. Eventually you learn what kind of pencil or pen, it is necessary to achieve the desired results.

The best way to note the contrast is to useblack and white photographs. Although it is not a black and white photography, you can change your color photo to black and white as well to give a real idea of where the contrasts are in that environment color.

So do not get bored with your job or end up wanting to quit, make sure that you draw objects or scenes that really enjoy. This will only make it much more enjoyable and keep your interest in art alive. Good artists do not normally draw on arguments or evidence thatdo not want.

Most of all, when before you start make sure you practice as much as possible because it is the only real way to become a good artist. Have fun in what you're doing and be patient with the results.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

1. In black and white

Slides and lecture notes that it is in black and white look dull and boring. Be a color conversion. Color coded bar chart or line chart helps the viewer understand the numbers. The color adds dramatic effect as well and creates associations in the public mind.

2. Complete sentences

Use bullets or keywords. long sentences and ask the audience to read your presentation. You sacrifice your credibility if you have to read and the publicignores you while scanning forward. The first step is to comb through every sentence and remove items such as a, a, etc. Focus on the concept, not words.

3. Too Busy

Remember the KISS formula. Keep it short and simple. Busy slides and handouts will distract and confuse the public. Use lots of white space and apply the rule 6X6. No more than 6 words on a line. Not more than 6 lines in a slide.

4. Too many slides

Do you want to compete with the slides? You are themost important visual aid. Slides and handouts are a help to support your message. Here is a formula to keep on track. For a presentation of 25 minutes shall not exceed 20 slides. This is less than a minute.

5. Too many fonts

Variety is good to talk, but not when choosing fonts for a presentation. yourself to one or two characters Limit. Many font creates a disjointed. One possibility is to use a serif font for titles-type (Times Roman) and a sans seriffont for the bullets (Arial).

6. Small font

If you have to squint to read the presentation, the character is probably too small. Bigger is better. The print should be large enough to be seen in the back row. When you use a computer, try using 36 points for the title and 34 bullets. This project should be big enough for most of the public.

7. Speaking of the screen

This is a common mistake. When it comes to the screen, you lose the connection with the public. And the relationship is everything. Reference to the screen, but maintain eye contact with the public, using the technique of touch-Turn-Talk. Tap the screen with your eyes and read in silence, turning his head toward the audience, and speak to the point in a person, eye-eye. Finish your last word on a person, then go back and look to the next step.

8. Speaking during the change of the Slide

People are afraid of silence to speak while they change their slides. This creates the impression ofnervousness. Instead, pause and change the slide, your state of transition or following and make your next step.

9. No graphics

Why do business presenters insist on text-only? It 's a tough battle to convince some presenters to use graphics. We're not talking about Mickey Mouse clip art. Control symbols such as punctuation, dollar signs, and arrows can save space and help the public retain the message. Graphs and flow charts to complex numbers and concrete material. They are also moreinteresting than a page of text. The mind thinks in pictures, not words! If you want people to remember your message, use the graphics.

10. Typos

Misspellings can question your professionalism and distract the public. Spell check and proof of all printed materials and slides. Ask a target person to check for errors. You can lose something because you're too close to it.
